England

10 years of life in England. First steps outside South Africa at 18. Chichester for two years between school and university. Eight years later, I returned to start the journey to citizenship in London. To add a red passport to my green. Stupid borders. To learn. In a country finding it's place as hierarchy disintegrates. A home of liberalism, colonialism, creativity, supremacy, imagination, class and craft. Global hub. Winding roads. Hedges. Stones. Light rain that isn't enough to stop things happening. Parks. Gardens. Walking commutes. Trains. Busses. Sun that warms the softest of grass. Conservative. Liberal. Character. Home away from home.
